March 2012BROOKLAND GREEN FOR ST PATIt is hard to believe that we are already in March, until we see the Community Centre turn green for a day, then we know that St Patrick’s Day has arrived. Brookland welcomed Shane our new chef this month and he certainly did not let us down. Beef & Guinness pies were the popular choice, followed by chocolate cake with peppermint green icing. What a treat!

CENTACARE MORNING TEA SEMINAR February 4, 2012
Centacare held their “No Problem Cleaning” seminar at Brookland this week. Representatives from local and government care associations attended to learn more about a new service provided by Centacare where help is available to assist in overwhelming clean up tasks. After the session was complete all were welcomed to stay for morning tea. The newest member of our Over 90s club was presented with his certificate by Elizabeth (who has taken on the role of ensuring that all members of this exclusive club are recognised on this achievement). George celebrates his 90th birthday on Australia Day. Our Over 90’s club have their special Morning Tea every year, which they all look forward to.
