The Dawn of a New Era in Retirement Living

The first day of Spring saw Live Life Villages launch the Dawn of a New Era in Retirement Living with the official opening of Maleny Grove by Australian Living Legend and Live Life Villages Ambassador Dawn Fraser, AO, MBE.

With more than 250 attendees; visitors were given an insight into Maleny Grove and how the village is designed to work harmoniously with the environment and offers modern, independent living with supported living options to enable residents to maintain an independent lifestyle.

Guests enjoyed morning tea and a BBQ lunch while being entertained by Bush Poets John Powell and Noel Stallard together with a roving card entertainer throughout the day. Two lucky local residents were announced as the recipients of the Maleny Grove promotion held during the Festival of the Walks, winning a double Sunshine Trike Range Tour with High Tea at Flaxton Gardens each.

Local residents, principal architect and Maleny resident David Gole of Riddel Architecture, and Project Managers Paynter Dixon, together with local councillor Jenny McKay and representatives of local businesses were also on hand to join in the celebrations. Live Life Villages - through the support of the local community - were proud to present a $3,000 cheque to the Maleny Hospital Auxiliary to assist in their ongoing work.
